The thing we love most about our business is the joy our flowers bring to our customers.

Hi there! We are Nancy and Trisha, founders of Backyard Blooms of Coopersburg, neighbors and long-time friends. During the cold winter days of 2024, we wondered what we could accomplish if we worked together to sell our homegrown flowers from a simple bouquet stand at the corner of our cul-de-sac.

We’d always enjoyed growing flowers and arranging them into bouquets for ourselves and our friends. Wouldn’t it be fun if our community had a way to enjoy our flowers, too? That first season, we started simple, by planting the seeds we’ve always loved: zinnias, cosmos, and sunflowers. We arranged our bouquets in recycled aluminum cans and quickly learned that our community’s enthusiasm for fresh, local flowers was strong. As our momentum grew, so did our dreams of growing more varieties of flowers and adding more growing space. That fall, we planted our first hardy annuals and ordered our first Dahlia tubers. We moved on from aluminum cans to wrapped and mason jar bouquets.

Three seasons later, we continue to learn and grow as we strive to provide our customers with beautiful bouquets filled with fresh, high-quality blooms at a reasonable cost. Flower farming has challenged us, but it’s been a rewarding journey. We're excited to share our fresh, locally grown flowers with the community.
